The expectations is a great point. I initially went vegan for ethical reasons, but was also expecting this pretty dramatic change as well like my skin to clear up, to easily lose weight and to have a lot more energy. Absolutely none of those things happened. So I caved to social pressure and tastebud preference and started eating vegetarian for a while. I've gone back to veganism now but my expectations of eating this way aren't the same.

A lot of people that leave have poor digestion and suck at absorbing nutrients from plants.

Steve Jobs can bench 1000lbs and run a 4 minute mile and run an Olympic marathon time. Can any vegan do anything close to that?

There are study that show a correlation between acne and b12 supplement. I stopped taking them for a week and my skin got a lot better. I'll use only 10ug (2x a day) that suppose to help. Cocao also tends to cause acne. Hope it helped.

I agree that just bashing Tim Shief isn't productive and man did that guy have moves. However, there is definitely a trend with those super clean "raw" diets, which like you mentioned even Jobs was on. Now he had pancreatic cancer I believe so he actually had a good reason to try it out, he also probably had the funding to afford an all fruit-based lifestyle, unlike I think most people, cause speaking from my own experience it's a lot more expensive compared to a cooked starch-based diet. I've seen a whole bunch of those ex-vegan videos Sv3rige made and in many cases, those folks also tried to eat raw/fruitarian didn't supplement or supplemented useless stuff, ran into deficiencies, who knows even caloric ones and blamed it on the vegan diet. I do appreciate you mentioned Dr Greger, I'm a huge fan of the man. And too bad to hear you have recurring acne on your back, I used to have that too even as an adult, but in my case ditching meat reduced that by 90%. If I accidentally eat oils, in particular, coconut oil or even large amounts of shredded coconut(>2 tablespoons) or other products high in saturated plant fats I sometimes still get a new cystic bump. I'm not fat phobic, I'll eat a handful of walnuts(by that I mean about 5) a day or a tablespoon of freshly ground flax if I eat much more than that my black headcount increases.
