I have been on the xr6 now for a year and jumped my pr of 21m in 30 knots. It is truely a boosting machine. This was on a 9m on 22m lines. Its true that you can depower complete and still be able to have full control and steering. Also megaloops are really great. If pulled in a gust it will go low. And you will free fall. Loops are quite low but also slower (less agressive) compared to more c shape kites. There is a slack and it comes back up. Only part that i find hard are the timing of the downloops when jumping high (without megaloop). You really have to park it and wait untill it comes over your head. If timing is wrong and you downloop a little to early you will drop fast and crash. It took me a while to get this in order. Further more it performes extremely well in the high end. I can be on the 9m untill 33-40 knots. 85 kilograms weight. 138cm board. And then it comes really to life!

Hi! Great video! Looking to get an XR7. What size would you recommend ? 80-82 kgs, looking to put the kite to 15-23 knots (not gusts). Does the 9 really fly like a 10? Thanks a lot !!

I love watching your reviews, thanks also for this nice one! I only had to laugh several times when I looked at the review of the XR6. It is easy to see how hard it is to recommend any improvements compared to the XR5. I fly three XR5 (8, 10, 12) and a GTS5 in 15 myself and can say that the XR5 can hardly be improved. The average rider won't notice any difference. Even optically nothing has changed... But of course nothing you can really say ;) So I do it ;) Have a great summer all of you! Best regards from Munich - Germany - Daniel

Hi, and thanks for the review. I have been riding XR4s 9&12 for nearly 3 years now and absolutely loved them until recently where the canopy started ripping from leading edge to trailing edge every time the kite does a modest tomahawk plant in the water. I'm not talking about a beginner full speed frontal crash, just oops moments at the end of a trick. I seldom drop my kite and it hasn't been abused, yet after less than 3 years it seems the fabric has become so fragile it splits even in moderate crashes. I kept previous kites way longer and never had this problem. That, and the amount of bar pressure on the XR4 are the only 2 things making me wonder if I should stick with the brand. Any feedback on this? Known issues? Is the xr6 somehow more rip resistant than the xr4? Is the bar pressure better?

Thanks

Unquestionably great freeride and boosting kite. In the Core lineup, which kite would you say is the best for old school/airstyle (front, back, darkslides, hand drags etc...all peppered with grabs and kiteloops)? XR (great hang time but a bit slow looping) or Nexus? Any other suggestion outside Core?

How is this kite compared to Duotone Evo? Similar with more power?
