In this video, I remember and pay tribute to Alan Arkin who passed away on June 29, 2023 at the age of 89.

Alan Arkin was a great comedic and dramatic actor who often played second fiddle to the actual stars of the films he acted in even though he often stole the best scenes. I loved a lot of his films, so I discuss 4 favorite films of his in this video. He will be missed. Rest in Peace.

Alan Arkin has a lot of great films but one of my favorites is 'The Heart Is a Lonely Hunter' from 1968. It also launched the career of Sondra Locke. Arkin played a deaf mute, so he never said a word the entire film.

RIP Alan Arkin. He was great in slums of Beverly hills, argo, escape from sobibor, stand up guys, and going in style.
