If I was at her level of Kings or Rowlings I would still want my books edited so they can be the best they can be

That’s wild!!! Yeah I think once you’ve reached a certain sales threshold, the editors don’t even bother skimming these books!

A very good friend of mine mentioned that she loved this writer, and I trust her taste, so I read a court of mist and fury AND the next one... my GAWD they were awful. It was like reading "After", but with fairies. The writing, the story, the characters, everything was sh*te. I haven't said anything to my friend, but I don't really trust her book recommendations anymore.

I was just losing my mind because I have two sick children at home today and this popped up and cured my maladjustment to life. Thank you!

I read TOG series first before these books and I was completely caught off guard by the difference between the two. Yes they have similar writing/editing issues but the story was so much more interesting in TOG 😂

Oook but I started highlighting how many times she used the word murmur or murmured and it’s TO MUCH. 😂

This is a gem! If you're eager for more, a book with related material is something to consider. "Galaxies United" by Olivia Whitestone

I eff with trashy works to an extent, but accept the problematic nature and avoid to the best of my ability

I'm not sure exactly what I'm looking at because the text on the pages happen to be too small for my human eyes to see, however if it's grammar related, I must say I feel as though I got quite lucky hearing the ToG series instead of reading it (I listen to audiobooks often). I enjoyed the story overall, but even with a voice actor picking up the slack, the grammar and sometimes her word choice was still a little... off-kilter.

For some reason I am just not interested in her books (have not read any). Now I feel less guilty about not reading them 😂

Day 1 of asking for a recommendation.
Here i go.
Can i get a recommendation for crime/fantasy/murder mystery WITH a male main character.
Please recommend me the ones with a male main character. I have no grudge against females, im a female myself. I just like male main characters better.

Edit: Also, if possible, no romance. Slight romance would be okay.
Thank you.
