There are a number of versions of this fly out there. Some with duck or goose quill wings and some deer hair. This variation has a CDC under wing and deer hair main wing. A great fly when those darker colored caddis flies are coming off the water. We like to tie it in sizes 12 - 16.

Gonna tie up a dozen of these this week for our trip to the Bighorn in 2 weeks. Glad I found this!!

I used Hareline Krystal Flash Pearl KF9 on a MFC #16 Straight Eye Caddis hook and it seemed like the material was a little to wide. It covered up my dubbing way too much. Does the flash come in different width?
