The graphical upgrades are nice, but what we all want is the original lighting engine.

Please see 0:44. As you can see, the ps4 archietecture so advanced and so powerful that it will allows for additional clothes to be processed in as supposed to the ps3 where characters were often plagued with moments of nakedness.

That's just sad. There's no reason the PS3/360 versions couldn't have looked as good as the PS4 remaster. Games like The Last of Us and Killzone looked incredible.

Still looks ugly as sin. Forest of the Fallen Giants is one of the ugliest areas in the game and they didn't even try. I bet shaded woods and brightstone cove look like shit too. It's a shame, those are the only real areas in the game in desperate need of new textures. Hell, they could have just copy pasted that grass physics across a larger area of space.
The lighting needs to get sorted too, I also hope they fixed that shitty background texture in the forest of the fallen giants. In the last gen version it looked like a landscape from a PS2 or some shit.
It's 60fps, but that means nothing if the durability bug still exists.

LOL WOOOOW guys .5% better graphics! I'd better go buy another 60$ copy! While i'm at it, a PS4 for a cheap 500$ plus controllers cords and whatnot!

I played Dark Souls 2 on PS3 many times and i can tell, the ps3 version looks way better than it does on this video, infact very close to the ps4 version on this video.

They just tone down the graphics just to promote the next gen version even though its still pretty much the same. PS4 version is only slightly better.

So they are selling Dx11 and Dx9 versions separately? That is absolutely disgusting. I feel ill atm due to the fact that I love the souls series so much and they would do something like that. Instead of just having Dx9 in the options like every other game that has Dx11

At this point I'm wondering why they're even gonna bother with the DX11 edition. No one will buy this shit on PC.

Seems like there is some additional tech in it (lighting wise) that they had taken out. But it's still not equivalent to the infamous E3 2013 demo (which was breathtaking and got me into the Souls games).

I can understand why people are complaining about this. It's basically a collector's edition. But for people like me that doesn't have a working PS3 right now, I am more than happy to get the game again.

This game looks pretty cheesy. I know people love the gameplay of the series, but the graphics... bleh. Higher framerate will help gameplay obviously, but a higher res and FPS doesn't make an inherently crappy looking game look any better. It's just sharper "bleh"
And what's up with the pretty much nonexistent lighting in this game? Everything looks so static and evenly lit. I feel like I'm watching alpha footage for some indie game on Steam Greenlight.

I liked the new lightning. It's very similar to the PS3 version, but with better corrections in contrast. Nice.

Between the PC & PS4, The PC looks slightly better, Has better lighting, The PS4 has better shades
