About that Pakistani fact. It heavily backfired because it encouraged local entrepreneurs to set up filtration systems to bottle their own filtered water cheaper than Nestle. You can now find hundreds if not thousands of brands throughout Pakistan. The amount of brands can be summed up by this: There are so many ways to name bottled water but all of them have been used up to the point that I've seen a brand name it "ABC."

Plus they used a specific amount of milk so the kid would be full and not need to drink breast milk. As a result the mother stops producing milk and is (indirectly) forced to buy Nestlé products.

I am from an African country and Nestle monopolized most of the food industry there. Nestle products and ads everywhere, used to consume them a lot as a child without knowing all the vile things they have done. The worst thing is this African mentality of thinking foreign products are of a better quality than local ones or at least it’s what they made us believe, this is one of the reasons why these type of companies will keep having their ways.
