It's crazy how Aron can get so many biblical scholars on his channel so often.

It's honestly infuriating that some people believe and propagate these myths as fact. Especially when they target children. Moses, god, and pretty much every biblical character are a collection of people condensed into 1 because apparently the biblical authors had little to no creativity. I'm real though, I promise. I would say "have a blessed day" but a fictional character can't bless anyone. Dad and I love your content so keep up the good work Aron ❤

These episodes are gold, Aron. Thank you so much for putting such level of expertise against the never ending disinformation from christian fundies!

When I see your dog at the end, no one can tell me a dog is not a sentient, empathetic being. And NOT a soulless automaton. They can read our mood, our character better than you can do it yourself.

They cannot talk, they cannot count, true.

Neil SeGrasse Tyson told the story of a Border Collie that knew the names of a thousand toys. They got a new one hid it in the living room, and then told him "Where is the Einstein?" and off he was. Took him a little longer, but he came back with the correct toy, an Einstein puppet. So he was able to think "that I know by name - can't be it - that I know - oh, that is new, that MUST be Einstein!"

Dogs obbviously dream, you can see their legs twitching in their sleep, even a muffled bark - they are mumbling in their sleep.

In any case they are more sentient than an embryo without a brain...

But for the hardcore christians it is of utmost important that they are incomparably more important for their omnipotent invisible superman, because that boosts their vanity.

Barely a minute in and that's not why people don't think that moses wrote the books of moses (they probably are reasons but not the biggest ones), it's because moses didn't exist.

i actually visited a supposed site of Moses' grave. it is in Hodatsu, Ishikawa, Japan. the story, written in Japanese and English at the site called Moses Park, is that Moses was taken into the sky by a UFO and ended up in Japan, taking a wife there and having children, giving a new 10 commandments, and then eventually passing away there at the age of 583. this is honestly no more extraordinary than any of the other supernatural stories about the ancient world; which is to say, they are all, more than likely, no more than myths.

as to whether a historical Moses may or may not have existed, it doesn't really matter in the context of believing the events told about him as true. one cannot assume that the historical existence of a person should directly imply that all stories about them are factual. George Washington definitely existed, but as to his more mythical stories like that of the cherry tree, we cannot assume that they are all factual simply because he existed. the exact same can be said of the Christian stories about Jesus. Jesus may well have been a real person, as many historians consider to be likely. however, this does not imply that all of the stories about Jesus of the Christian New Testament are true.

Took me a minute to place the Outro song. How appropriate. I love it.

I'm in the camp of Moses more than likely he never existed. He might be based on several different people but Moses as a character never existed.

Aron - The dog really adores you. It has been a long time since we chatted in Vegas at Penn's party.

Imagine God telling Moses to take dictation: "Okay, write this down, Moses. I'm going to describe your death..." Now imagine that same scene, but put Anthony Hopkins playing God in the same style as he did the Hannibal Lector character. I'd watch that movie.

One thing I always marvel at... When are scholars just going to put aside the public's feelings and exclaim... Its all a myth!. The supernatural Jesus and supernatural God are mythical!
Scholars are supposed to reach for the truth in very field except for the one's that hurt people's feelings?
