My therapist diagnosed me w/ C-PTSD from growing up w/ narcissist mom. EMDR worked wonderfully in stopping/coping w/the triggers.

Thanks for explaining this so clearly. It's truly beyond awful to be in the ER with a physical problem and someone implying that you're not sane enough to know if you're ill or injured and they try to diagnose themselves or want to call in a shrink. Disgusting. It seems that medical people in general just want to label people crazy and send them away. I'm beyond tired of it and the main thing they want to label me with is BPD. I'll be talking to my therapist about this next session. Thanks again and big 👍

Just as I was starting to understand my cptsd better n feeling more connected inside...boom n the info is over. Some of us can actually listen and comprehend for longer than 3 to 5 min. Even if I think I heard it all you ALWAYS have that golden nugget to rearrange my thinking in a nurturing way. Have a very blessed summer!!

I am currently suffering in a narcissistic relationship. I believe i was misdiagnosed with BPD... I tend to acknowledge what is wrong is the way i am being treated not actually something wrong with me.

Thank God 🙏😇 for great doctors and therapists. After my unfortunate accident rupturing my left eye 👁️ I was faced with moving forward in life in a positive way. Of course, there were bouts of depression around all that adversity. Therapy and talking about these issues helped tremendously. I gained the knowledge and understanding of why. It goes on from there on many levels. Anyway, my Therapists from 15 years ago affirmed that I was on the right track and didn't need our meetings anymore. That was the beginning of even more self-help and or education about the issues. It still has an effect yet having the knowledge and understanding is the difference between dysfunction and stability. You're a nice lady to share your knowledge and expertise. 😎🙏😇

That was very good. Didn't know these topics get confused. But it seems to me the BPD is seeking something stimulating from the environment, because they may be following a need or an urge. Where as Cptsd is really wanting to avoid anything that stimulates such as overstimulation, or depressing, toxic behaviors of others, , and unstable enviroments generally. You did a great job of clearly delineating the too.

I found this Chanel because I just ended a short term relationship with a diagnosed borderline girlfriend and am trying to find out more about it I've noticed alot of similarities between borderline and narcicism with that. I loved her passion and cared for her. the rollercoaster ride was exciting at first but she became to clingy for me wanting to know where i was at at all times thank you for shedding some light on that topic

I just wanted to say “THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!” To you and other content creators for teaching me about covert narcissists. I wish I had known these people existed 40 years ago, before two failed marriages and tons of heartache and suffering.

I just avoided a major bu113t, an attempted Hoover from an abusive narcissistic BPD stepdaughter. The previous me would have fallen for her BS. Now I can see right through it!

Thank you!!! 👏👏👏🙏🙏🙏

As a person with diagnosed CPTSD and a hyperactive startle reflex that volume of the music was wild 😅. Otherwise good video.

Self punishment isn’t talked about enough. It’s not just attention seeking or extreme, it’s to remind yourself that you failed in a split

My ex-girlfriend thought I had C-PTSD due to my childhood. She reckons I should seek help about that. I dunno. A lot of therapists here have a reputation of being terrible. It doesn't help that I possibly have HSAM as well, which basically means I get to relive my abuse in vivid detail. Fun...

I'm going to have to disagree, all the symptoms you mentioned can appear in either BPD or CPTSD, which is why psychologists don't even know for sure whether they aren't actually the same disorder.
