Palpetine already knew clone tech existed. Damn good ones too. I don’t think Moff Gideon had anything to do with snoke or the emperor, but was just trying to make an army of force wielders for his own devices

Actually, the troopers in Jedi Outcast are Shadow Troopers. Dark Troopers were in Dark Forces and were super-powerful battle droids the Empire developed as new types of Stormtroopers. The exception to that was Phase 0 Dark Troopers, which were older/disabled Clone Troopers that were turned into cyborgs.

UPDATE: EckhartsLadder pointed out if you turn on the audio subtitles, the subs actually directly name these troopers as Dark Troopers, so yeah...that's confirmed now, haha.

Weirdly enough, the look of the Imperial outpost hangar in this episode reminded me a lot of the first level of Jedi Knight: Jedi Outcast. Would be great if the Mandalorian production team of the used this game as inspiration.

Look at season 1 “The Sin” concept art and you can see the bounty guild hunting him was originally going to be the dark troopers...
