I am a first hand witness to this stunning turn around. Visiting Kigali and walking around its streets literally shocked me. The genocide memorial is something unforgettable. Yet, they have turned things around. The most stable country in Africa possibly! May it grow to further heights and be an example to everyone.

Rwanda has become one of the cleanest nations on Earth because of its ambitious environmental goal of “increasing forest cover to 30 percent of total land area by 2020, ” per the World Economic Forum. To achieve this, the country has undertaken massive reforestation and tree-planting efforts.

Rwanda airport used to be my favorite transit ... unlike other airport, in Rwanda, pay $30 for the lounge, eat and drink as much as you can and rest on nice couches with free internet. Kigali is actually clean, been there.

I have been to Kigali many years ago and I was pleasantly surprised how clean the city was, then I learnt about civilians getting down on the streets to clean the city! Amazing ❤️

I remember watching movie hotel Rwanda. It's a good movie about real life genocide in Rwanda. Sufferings and struggles teaches people to rise again. Hope India's struggle today brightens our future, sadly our citizens do not learn from mistakes and keep trusting corrupt leaders, either in the name of caste or religion.
