Man Notices Paranormal Activity in his House

Or maybe something you could have sworn you put in a certain spot wasn’t there when you woke up, as if it had simply vanished off the face of the earth? We had a secret housemate in New Orleans. He lived in crawlspace on the other end of the house and came out at night to pilfer change from various people including me. I left out dollar bills for him but he never took them, and only a portion of the change. I only saw him once in the daytime but he just wanted to get back under the house. I caught his hand reaching up into my loft once and it was just a flash, very creepy but he was harmless. That's when I started leaving bills for him. I spoke to him and told the money was fo him buy no response. I forgot his name and don't know what happened to him, it was a long time ago, late 80s.
