Dave gave that lady a wonderful blessing on her wedding day -- Financial Peace. I love listening to happy people on radio.

I lived overseas for a couple of years, and it was life changing. If you can do it, I would recommend it. If you have the money saved to cash flow a 1 year MBA abroad, it will likely be unforgettable. You may not be free to do so in future, once a spouse or kids come along. Another option is to do an MBA in the US and then work abroad.

The call from Matthew broke my heart. Matthew was taken advantage of at a vulnerable place in his life. I'm hoping he gets it worked out. Dave and John gave good advice. ❤

As a dad it disgusts me to hear stories like Matt's. His dad knew exactly what he was doing. He felt that money was his, and manipulated his son to get it. And then not to pay it back after all these years is further proof he just wanted the money because he felt it was his and he probably has no intent of paying it back. There is a special place in you know where for this embarrassment of a father. And you can say maybe he was the greatest dad ever till this happened, its no excuse. This was not an accident, or a misspoken word in the the heat of an argument. This was intentional and he took advantage of his own son when his mother just passed. There were months when I wasn't sure how I would make the mortgage and it did not cross my mind for a second to take money from my kids, regardless of where the money came from.

Daniel from New York. You worked so hard you deserve a gap year. You’re not too old. Always yes to living abroad for a while. And an MBA within only one year sounds super intense, not a vacation at all. You’ll gain invaluable experience that someone who never went to live abroad can’t comprehend. Just do it.

To the guy that wants to go to Europe you should do it. Whether the school route or get a job there. There is nothing wrong with taking a year off if you can afford it.

Babies don’t need much space and people in general don’t need space unless they are brought up to think they do . My kids are hardly in their room only get clothes. My oldest son is the only one who even sleeps in his room.

The lady that had household income of $230k, didn’t own a car, and was concerned about buying a $9k car. Please tell me she was trolling. What a joke.

To the lady that repaid the down payment, her parents loaned her for the house. I’m surprised she just didn’t split it evenly between the mom and dad. To me that would’ve been the right thing to do since they were no longer married and they were both the ones who gave down payment money? I think that is part of the reason why the dad wrote that letter to her

47:50 You picked a side in your parent’s relationship and that was clearly your mom’s. I mean you started the story by saying how he cheated on her and understandably that hurt you. But, you knew exactly what you were doing when you gave the entire down payment to your mom. Own it and move on instead of calling strangers to validate your actions. I say this from a place do love because I believe you can repair the relationship with dad but it probably won’t happen if you don’t own intentionally hurting him.

The lady on the call breaks my heart. I can't even imagine what she and her husband have been going through. Money is always a grub fest.

As to real estate in California, the median home price (the entire state), is between $800K - $904K.

I am in Santa Clarita and in a typical housing tract built in the mid 80's. House next door is a 2 story 3 bed, 2 bath, powder room, with attached 2 car garage and a nice back yard. Guess . . . $748K, and nothing special.

There are no "cheaper areas." So the lady is correct, coming back isn't an option unless they want to do that. And they don't as they are debt free.

I just wish them the best and smooth sailing from here on out. Glad they have a good neighbour, too.

The Ramsey Show should keep reiterating about the presidential election and how it won't fix what's happening at home. People don't get it.

-1:07:14 I bet John was biting at the bit to tell that lady she has a marriage issue/to get counseling/tell her husband she can’t breathe. Lol and Dave just cuts through her crap and tells her she’s being emotional lol loved it
