Why you suck at Hunter skating.

A short video explaining how to consistently do a Shatterdive skate using Eager Edge without the help of macros. Which is also applicable to Well of Radiance skating using Eager Edge.

I know a lot of people will think that this technique is similar to worldline shatter skating. However it's a tiny bit different since Eager Edge is faster and does not remove your player model from the game which I will not explain why it makes a difference.

On controller, I changed my shatter dive keybind to circle (I’m on PS5), and I just press all three buttons (jump, shatterdive, and heavy attack) at the same time, and it works very consistently.

Thank you for explaining how to do this. Every other video over complicates it so much. It's so much easier than I thought. After watching this I pulled it of on my 2nd try. I'm now on my 6th try and I think i've mastered it.

I just finally got my first Eager edge sword so I wanted to learn and every video just explained the inputs and I was banging my head against it for like 20m and then I found this. Saw it was short and knew it had to be good, and wouldn't you know it you solved my issue. first time trying it after knowing I was too close to the edge i hit it and crossed from Morgeth towards the secret chest in Last Wish. Been practicing and now i have it down pretty well, so far haven't failed again

Dude. I did it first try thanks to this. You were right the jump wasn't counting, so I made sure I pressed it while still over ground and it worked immediately

its the second time your video teached me how to skate. im a returning player who forgot how to skate. "while in the heavy attack animation; press jump, then shatter dive back to back" were the magic words. that helped a lot!

For those of you only getting a little distance like me, make sure you have eager edge active, if you dont see it in the buffs section of your hud it isnt on, it activates for like 2-3 seconds after you pull your sword out with a 10 second delay between the time it can activate < 3 lastly make sure all of your inputs are FAST aim for less than 1 second

Also on controller switch heavy attack with light attack so from RT to RB. it's easier. And change shadowdive to press only not long press or double. YES THIS WORKS ON CONSOLE.

I have this controller that has two triggers on the back (just beneath my middle fingers [Middle fingers resting on them] ) assigned to A, and B, I used to think they were utterly useless, until I saw your video which helped me learn shatter skate. Props to you man.

No button remapping either. Just make sure you have some space between you and the ledge, pull out the sword, and immediately press and hold R2 X O all at the same time.
