I can't help but feel joy hearing this. Thank you Corey for this message. Thank you Lord for all of the priceless blessings you gifted to us meritless humans. We are blessed to have such an awesome and truly good God!

You're clearly right biblically. Some people just aren't self-assured unless they think they're doing it themselves. It's weak faith that prevents them from acknowledging that salvation is all God's work and first his work.

It's been said that spiritual growth is a growth downward. It is only when we have a lower view of ourselves that we will have a higher view of God. So, with that in mind, in my learning journey with soteriology, I am pretty settled in my heart/mind that I'm going to lean toward the view that most glorifies God and most diminishes me.

God is all knowing, long before, past, present, and future. Not ever basis on anything we can do.

Based on what his son has done. He lives outside of time, all knowing, all seeing.

The foreknowledge of God, is God looking through the lens of time, and seeing the exact day, time, and place, that we were going to accept His's Son, as Lord and GOD KNEW THAT, BEFORE HE MADE THAT'S THE AWESOMENESS OF GOD!!!! GOD'S FOREKNOWLEDGE IS NOT BASED ON WHAT WE THINK, NO NO, HIS'S FOREKNOWLEDGE IS ALL ABOUT WHO HE >>> Do forget that!!! SO GIVE GOD HIS'S

Something most people don't know is the origin of John Calvin's Calvinism is Saint Augustine of Hippo, which was from North Africa.

How do we miss the great commission? Mark 16:15 And He said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. This is what we are suppose to be doing, there are some things we will not know or fully understand until later. Focus on what we do know for sure .... Spread the Gosepl to EVERYONE. Anything outside of that is dangerous this entire debate remind me of Job story.

We hated Him, but He loved use anyway . God, before time, know use and chosen use.

It's interesting the other day you mentioned that you were not a calvinist person. I always assumed you were. I attended church where our pastor is a John MacArthur disciple. I told our pastor I don't agree with Calvinism, but I overall I agree with most other things he says. David Hunt, disagreed with Calvinism, but worships and loved many people who were Calvinists. We can disagree on individual doctrines, as long as we hold to the tenets of the faith. God bless.

You would have to explain the Greek definition of foreknowledge. Did He foreknow first, then predetermine? In John 6 a point is made that Jesus "knew from the beginning who those were who did not believe". Is not the determination based on the foreknowledge of those who would not reject the call and be justified?

Whom did an omniscient God not foreknow?

Corey, if God plans who he will save does he plan who will not go hell. I am leaning more toward Double Predestination. Trying to better understand.

Amen Brother!
Have you given any thought to why it is that we have inherited Adam’s sin nature through no individual choice of our own?
In other words, no one chose to be born in Adam.
[Eph 2:3 KJV] 3 Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.
