I wonder how many people think their hotel rooms are paid for and will show up a few months later :(

"Is it booked or isn't it? This isn't Schrödinger's cat, it's a hotel!" *LOL* 🤣🤣🤣 Best Line Ever!

I would’ve LOVED to see the look of Aprils face when she realize she was talking to the same customer after using the exact same script

Thank you for exposing the less known scams too, there are scams for pretty much anything

Hotel worker here:

If you ever want to book a block, then contact the hotel directly and ask for the sales department. Outside parties do NOT typically handle creating sales blocks as they are typically catered to room type, number of rooms needed, etc.

Even if it can be done via an online booking site, I would still recommend contacting the property itself and arrange it that way.

She seems like legit customer service experience and flipped to the dark side.

The way their accents slip is really interesting. They must really rehearse the first few lines and then as they have to start to adlib, they lose control.

If there's any doubt that this is a scam, the fact that they ask for your company name and no matter what you say they're like "yep, there you are!". That's the scam ticket, my friend.

My husband and I used to run a small toy and comic book convention. We had to closely monitor the comments on social media because scammers would pretend to be a member of our staff to solicit vendors to pay for booth spaces or to try to sell tickets to the event that they did not have. Ugh. Good work, Kit!

Non-US citizen here, I had no idea that Gaylord hotels were actually a thing. I honestly thought it was a joke...

Poor not happy. You can tell she's done this scam many times, she talked over you a lot, but we know you're the absolute master talker-over.
Thank you for all you do to highlight as many different scams as you can. You makes us laugh with your baiting. ❤🇬🇧

Kit, thanks to you, my son saved one of his friends from getting scammed....I love how you mess with these ruthless scammers.❤😅

Things get really interesting and unpredictable when Kit directly confronts a scammer about lying. I've been surprised at how often a scammer will double down, or even go beyond, to insist that they're not scamming.

This actually happened to me. Was registered for a convention and got a call from a company trying to book my hotel. I told them i was supposed to book through the official convention booking portal and they still tried to get me to book. Told them no thanks and then reported them to the show organizers and they informed that this was an issue and cease and desist notices had already been sent to them. This was for a tech conference too so not the smartest scammers trying to scam people that already know better lol.
