Do you have Windows 11 and want to move your taskbar back to the left side of your screen instead of the center? Join Mike as he shows you how you can change the default location of the taskbar in Windows 11 so you can move it back to where it was in Windows 10.

But I want to move the taskbar, not the icons. In W10 I had the taskbar vertically down the right side of the window

Well, that is not what I thought you would explain, since that is easily found under settings. What I would like to know is can we move the entire taskbar to the left side of the display, in a vertical position, instead of having it below the screen in a horizontal position. In other words, re-orient the taskbar to be vertical and at the left margin of the screen display? Now, if anybody knows how to accomplish that, please, please share with those who feel it would be a good idea! Thanks!

What most folks below me said - you are not moving the task bar at all - do you know how to do that?

Can you explain to me why my task bar is currently over-riding over windows? When I scroll to the bottom of a, let's say, YouTube video, the taskbar appears and makes it impossible to interact with any other link/task in the area the taskbar is in. I play an mmo so this has cost me time and money as well as much frustration. If you have time to answer it, or need more questions, like this comment plese as that's the only notifications I see. Thanks

this is not what most people want when the issue of moving the task bar is looked up ... try moving it to the left of the screen

I'm irritated. I want my bar on the left of my screen.

i feel windows 11 is a step back in terms of eliminating features from 10. I like my task bar vertical on the left of my screen. I can't move it now and stuck with the lower placement. in general, I like the look of windows 11 and general feel, but I also feel that workflow takes longer than in 10 in terms of making more clicks to get to the same stuff. That is ignoring whatever headaches TPM creates when upgrading components on my desktop.

This is not moving the taskbar this is changing the icon alignment

My taskbar sits on the top of my screen because I got sick of clicking out of a game in windowed mode and not being able to move or defend myself. I don't know what reject said "this isn't necessary" but I hope they were taken out back and "retired"... god I hope it's changed before this "beta" becomes mandatory. As it stands I want to avoid any computer that has Win 11 on it in much the same way I avoided Win 8 because of that horrid "touch menu".

The hallmark of a good IT pro is being very specific and that's where this video is a total failure. Moving the icons on the taskbar and moving the entire task bar are two completely different functions.
