I love Screwtape Letters! It's one of my favorite C.S. Lewis books! C.S. Lewis is my favorite author, such an intelligent man who communicated in such a creative way. Have you listened to Focus on the Family's audio drama of Screwtape Letters? They got Andy Serkis to voice Screwtape and he's amazing! A great book from heaven's perspective is The Great Divorce. That's another one that's just incredible, it's an eye opener.

Another C.S. Lewis book that's incredibly relevant, and a little scary because of its relevance, is That Hideous Strength. It's the 3rd book in his Space Trilogy which I highly recommend.

At the end here, in reference to your last bit. I think that’s the wrong way to think about it. Respectfully, and with all due candor. You don’t want it to look more suspenseful necessarily. But, rather the demon succeeding at time’s to show the reaction of what it looks like when a man gives into the thoughts of the tactics being used on him. So you get a more humanistic or real life understanding of what actually is happening every day. More so, to show people and provide an example of themselves as they read along. I think to try and add more suspense is going to then shift the attention of the reader onto that aspect. Rather than taking time to self reflect on what you just read, so you can have an honest moment with yourself and absorb the information. But other than that one small instance of slightly disagreeing. Thank you for the review and breakdown! Loved what you had to say. It also gave me more to think about myself. And another perspective in which to view all these topics. I appreciate that my brother in Christ. Thank you.

CS Lewis is an amazing author that can’t help but make you think! My favorite letter in the Screwtape letters book is when he instructs this senior demon to be sure to entice the one he’s trying to lead astray into directly tying his faith to his “party“ meaning his politics… That is one of the most dangerous things that is going on in the Christian world today is how so many Christians have melded their political loyalty into their faith and their politics have become more important than their faith and where their politics diverges from their faith… They go with politics and party loyalty instead of with what Jesus taught… as Lewis says in this particular letter “they have become one“ I would love to hear CS Lewis‘s commentary on the world we live in right now if he were still alive… I encourage everybody to read all of his books… They will make you think more than just about any other author you will read…
