Doc, I've had that "VIM" ratchet-little sucker, for several years. Works great, has held up well, zero issues. Dedicated to small/tiny projects, bit "bonanza" applications, and just the right size; not to micro, not to cumbersome. Again, several years in use, zero problems/regrets. In fact, I gifted it to my son, for his work in electronics/audio visual components/computers. There's no higher recommendation, than that, Doc. Great for me, now great for him, 😁. I sure love my son! - Paul A. Trujillo - So. Cal.

Vim seems to be killing it. I’m gonna check out the catalog.

Vim also makes one with a second end that is a 5/16” hex. It comes with a 5/16” hex to 1/4” square drive for small sockets. I have one and it’s great! The model number is HBR5

I have been using this for a couple years now on helicopters. It has held up fantastically.

The original Leatherman bit extender works well for those Wiha double ended bits. Haven't found anything else as secure/deep enough yet. I have the mini Wera ratchet, the Wiha bits, and the Leatherman extender in a small kit. I keep the bits in a plastic bit holder thing I got from ebay. Just a plastic stick with a bunch of holes in a line, not sure what exactly to call it.

I have an essentially identical 1/4 ratchet. Orange accents instead of blue. Bought it well over 10 years ago. Interesting that it's still around.

And I just bought the daggone Craftsman bit driver a couple days ago. Putting this on my next shopping list.

You really should check out the facom or icon flex head bit ratchet/t-handle/extension combo. Amazing case. Comes with all these bits, plus way more versatility. I keep two, one in my truck and one on my motorcycle. Pair them with a Makita socket set (in the rubber holder) and they are the absolute best piece of travel kit to have.

Very nice little ratchet, I like the confort handle. The double ended bits work well with this ratchet, they just go through the ratchet head, atleast the hex and torx ones. Thanks for the video. 👍👍

They are the same tool from the same manufacturer.

You'll notice that it says Reverse gear on the thumb wheel which means it was made by HI-FIVE.

Have you seen the Facom R1 Pico? Very similar micro ratchet but it has a rotating head on it which is amazing. And comes in a sweet little box with everything you'd need, Look into it!

3D print a bit case and you’re golden. So many options for different bit holders out there.

You have a bluepoint ratcheting bit driver? I have the three piece set but want the long handle one.

If this wrench had a little bit holder near the handle to use as regular screwdriver that'd be kinda awesome and would round off the EDC usage.

Looks great, and the larger grip style is likely very much a welcome addition.
I've been using the Power Torque Bit Ratchet and it's lovely-- but small and hard to gain purchase.

I think the ICON kit from Harbor Freight has more versatility but both look nice.

If you like this ratchet, check out the 1/4 inch double ended micro ratchet VIM tools HBR3. Also about $17 and only 3.5 inches long. Combined with the Leatherman Bit Kit #1, and you have 24 bits and ratchet in a very small kit.

These wiha bits will also work with the Klein mini rachet. The only extension I have found that will work with the bits is Wiha 7148C, about $25.
