My bf is 44 and this is definitely how he is. I love that he's that way though. He's always straight up with me and I can count on what he says. He was single for 7+ years before we started dating because he wasn't going to tolerate being unappreciated, devalued or disrespected. My ex would berate and yell at me and make me feel worthless. This man treats me like a queen by comparison. He is so gentle and kind, generous and loving. He makes me feel safe and secure like I've never had before. I always try my best to match that energy, and even on his bad days I tell him how much I appreciate him and enjoy his company. I love cooking yummy meals for him and he always thanks me and tells me how good the food was. He tells me I bring him peace. He has given me back my joy and my smile. I wish everyone could find this sort of love for themselves. It exists, I promise! ❤️

Absolutely. I was with someone at 36 for four years. I would do the gardening, housework, shopping, cooking and a 40 hour week at work. Nothing was ever good enough. She lived about 15 miles away. In those four years, she only came to my house three times. Two months after my 40th birthday, I packed my bags and never saw her again. You never know what you've got til it's gone. 😊
