The impression of the Brigadier is uncanny...

The emphasis on The Doctor saying, "Don't!" Like, even the soundtrack stopped, like the entire soundscape was intimidated. That is some excellent ambience.

But also, he fully hugs The Brigadier!

1. “A doctor with a buzz cut, well I never” that’s just a great line!

2. “We'll make a soldier out of you yet.” “DON’T”

Great read from Eccleston there. Because of COURSE the Ninth Doctor in particular would have a problem with being called a soldier.

Probably just my headcanon, but this is a more powerful moment if it's a given that the Doctor has not encountered the Brigadier since his Eighth incarnation. The War Doctor wanting to keep Earth far away from the Time War and not wanting his old friends to see the Warrior he's been forced to become makes complete sense given his personality.

I’m glad Christopher Eccleston got to meet The Brigadier, The Cybermen, Bernice, & River! Even though he is stepping back from Big Finish for now, he accomplished a lot and had fun doing it!!!
