How to Live an Abundant Life

The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.
John 10:10 (NIV)

This is such a beautiful verse about the abundant life that we enjoy as we follow Jesus. It’s easy to think about this promise only in the future tense—that someday we’ll experience full life. But there’s a real practical implication for our lives right now. To help apply today’s topic on fun, here are a few journal questions:

1. What does an abundant life mean to you?
2. What do you do for fun?
3. Do you make time for fun? If not, what gets in the way?
4. What’s one fun thing you’re going to commit to this week?

Reminds me of this quote: "I want a life that sizzles and pops and makes me laugh out loud. And I don't want to get to the end, or to tomorrow, even, and realize that my life is a collection of meetings and pop cans and errands and receipts and dirty dishes. I want to eat cold tangerines and sing out loud in the car with the windows open and wear pink shoes and stay up all night laughing and paint my walls the exact color of the sky right now. I want to sleep hard on clean white sheets and throw parties and eat ripe tomatoes and read books so good they make me jump up and down, and I want my everyday to make God belly laugh, glad that he gave life to someone who loves the gift." -Shauna Niequist

Thank you. You have been a blessing. I went to the pool yesterday and actually chose to have fun with them. It was an encouraging couple of hours. Thank you. I listen yesterday your video about fun. It was a blessing and so is this one.
