Its your identity. Its always how you look at your identity in any situation. If you are in a "poor" environment, always believe you are rich and going to be. If you are in a rich environment, always believe you are rich.

Well I didn’t get as far as Robert but I will add this: You have to stop the cycle. You take the lessons learned from being poor but use them to fuel your dreams and desires to move up and onward. And when you do have success, there’s a part of you that feels guilty because maybe your siblings are not there. But you have to carry on because even though you might be successful you can’t stop to help them because if you do, you might have a setback and it’s hard for people who grew up poor to overcome things like that over and over again. I only made it to lower middle class because of that. But I did put my daughters through college so I am hoping that they can take the next step.
