Anode - lithium metal
Cathode – iron disulfide on an aluminum foil substrate
Separator – polyolefin
Electrolyte – lithium salt / organic solvent
Jellyroll construction – spiral wound multiple layers of
anode/separator/cathode material to produce a high
surface area for high power cell design
Vent ball – safety mechanism that provides internal
pressure release
Positive and negative contact surfaces - nickelplated
steel
Non-conductive plastic film label - electrically
insulates the battery
Positive Temperature Coefficient (PTC) – over
current safety device

That was a pretty clean extraction, no sparks or anything. Nice job.

@Phacias no, your oil has to be aliphatic. something like heptane, octane or decane will work.

Do you know of any safe way to melt it into bars, or make spheres by a chemical reaction.
I have seen Nurdrages video making potassium into spheres by chemical approach but he removed the video :/

Is this the same stuff that you put into a bottle of water and it explodes into fire?

Is it possible to use cooking oil for storing it?

Well guess that battery still would have worked to this day. Too bad it died 12 years ago....

Morten I have taken out lithium my self and if you are like quick enough if you will you can heat it up and shape it and if your lucky get it to a liquid state and put it in a mold so yes and no is what im going to say
