CZ457 with the Manners stock. Yes! CZ tries to utilize all local venders/products found here in the Greater Kansas City Metro area.

17 HMR is a 22 mag necked down.
17 winchester super magnum is the nail gun blank.

Minor correction Jim: the 17 hmr is a necked down 22 wmr. You were referring to the 17 wsm that is a 270 nail gun case necked down to accept a 17 cal bullet. Really wicked cartridge that I wish more people would chamber for.

One slight error, the 17 HMR is based on the 22 Mag rimfire. The 17 WSM is based on the nail gun case. I know you want to be perfect so I brought it up.

My CZ 457 in .17HMR is my favorite gun I think I've ever owned. Topped with an Athlon Talos 3-12x40 mildot. Absolute tack driver. Such a great action and trigger as well. I liked my first 457 so much in .22WMR that I had to buy the .17HMR/.22LR combo when I saw it on sale at a local shop. Great rifles 👍

Varmint splatterer: 22-250 bolt action.

Harvested 2 rabbits last night with my Hatsan.25 cal Pcp. Love the air guns for varminting, coyotes too.

For varmint hunting here in Idaho I have multiple favorites for whistle pigs, rock chucks, badger, and coyote. But my "go to" are always CZ's. I have a CZ 452 American with short bull barrel in 17 HMR that my wife bought for me in 2004 while I was deployed. Found it in the safe when I got home. I had been looking at those for about three years or so (when the 17 hmr first came out), but could never find it in myself to fork over the money. She's a keeper (so is the wife, LOL!). Then my next is the CZ 455 Trainer (24.8 inch barrel) in the European style wood stock. I have Millett steel rings and Vortex scopes on both of them. Man I love those CZ products.

My varmint rifle is the SAKO 85 Varmint in .223. It has an 8” twist so it prefers longer bullets. It’s very accurate.

Mine is savage 12 Varminter Low Profile, 223 with a 26 inch barrel. Also my own load with fragmenting bullets.

you will finally see how important those triggers are when hunting small critters that never seem to stand long for a shot. Choose the center fire rifle with the best trigger power minimum IMHO if you hunting farm fields and pastures. 22-250 seems like your best option of the rifles shown.

1968 Sako Vixen in .222. Thing of beauty.

I use the savage b mag 17. Wsm with a boyds stock and it shoots quarter moa at 100 yards with the 20 grain Winchester ammo, I really like bull barrel as well.

Man I liked before I even watched the video and don’t regret a thing

If you would mount the red dot on the receiver instead of the handguard you'd be impressed how much more accurate it is

One I think might be great to add would have been the Savage Axis 2 in .223. Great for all varmint hunting 👍🏽

Would be fun to see your recommendations for backyard “BB” or pellet guns for rat hunting

Good to see the tx200 getting some love, I love my mk1 I bought second hand in 1996 .
Only gun I will never part with, sold my accuracy international last week without a care but would probably cry if my tx200 went.

Have to find a more active gun club around here. NRL22 looks like fun, but the nearest place hosting one is 150 miles away. Both of the clubs I belong to are full of hunters who sight in a rifle with 2 or 3 shots right before hunting season, then show up for the barbecues during the summer... and for some reason every one of them is afraid of steel targets.
