The best thing I ever did was to hire a cleaning lady for once a month or every 2 weeks. I still have to do laundry, change the kitty litter and sheets on the bed. Plus swiffer all the dust and hair from the hardwood floors. Not to mention cook, clean the kitchen, grocery shop etc. just the fact that I don’t have to scrub the tile or look at a dirty bathroom or dust makes me incredibly happy!

Pack a lunch to take to work, bring snacks with when shopping to avoid buying a snack. Eating meals at home.
Not buying drinks like coffee, bring a drink from home.

If you haven't already done it I would love to see a video about tips that save money and help the environment e.g. using a cloth instead of buying paper towel etc 😊

Simplify your routines, be it using more all purpose cleaners rather than a cabinet full of pricey, speciality cleaners. Simplify your beauty routine. Find a good cleanser that works for your skin type, a toner if you need one, and a moisturizer w/sunscreen. Same routine for night, except a night moisturizer. Keep your make up easy and natural. Foundation/concealer where needed, neutral eye shadow, mascara, a little blush and your favorite lop product (lipstick or gloss). Create a capsule wardrobe. I always wear a neutral bottom, either black, gray or navy, then add color with my top and a scarf. My shoes are the same neutral colors. I do change up my handbags for color.

We have a 4-gallon water filter in my refrigerator. I keep a 1-gallon jug next to my sink to capture any water while I'm running my sink waiting for hot water. I feel great because I'm not wasting water and saving money by not seeing those gallons go down the drain.

I am getting older and can’t do all the detailed cleaning. I have a friend that cleans houses so she comes twice a month and does extra cleaning. When I see bacon and breakfast sausage on sale I buy extra. I cook it up and put in smaller freezer bags. Then if I need a few slices I just take that out and microwave a bit. It’s so much easier that it is already cooked and saves money. You can also use a little of each in a quiche for an easy dinner.

I was a single working mom with three daughters. I had an old lawn mower that needed to be started by pulling a cord multiple times, and inserting a screw driver and wiggling it until the thing started. Needless to say, the older kids hated the chore, My youngest was still a toddler. I came home from a 10 hour work day which included picking up and dropping off at daycare. Then to start supper, sometimes getting pots and pans out before taking my coat off. Finally the issue of replacing the lawnmower could not be put off any longer. I found someone who would cut it for a small cost. It was cheaper to have somebody else do it. When I was a teenager, I cut the grass, with a push mower, about an acre, I hated that chore. I always said that when I grew up, I would never cut grass.

First of all, you're wearing a very basic white top & it looks so nice ! It looks good on you & there's just something about it ....such a crisp white, has a flattering neckline. You look pretty in it, Jennifer.
Secondly, as your post at the beginning says, these are your opinions, all of us are different. For me, I enjoy FB. Many of my cousins & friends use FB to post pictures, keep up w/one another. We don't see any of them on any sort of regular we care about them & it's fun to see what they've been up to...some share jokes, so we get some laughs once in awhile. One of my cousins takes LOTS of trips....cruises to Alaska, Europe, you name it. I'm not jealous. We had our time when we lived in Germany & went all sorts of cool places, too.
I agree w/you. If FB is using up your time, causing you to spend more money than you ought to, creating negative feelings, then it might be time to toss it aside. But, if you're like me, it's a way to enjoy friends & family. Sure is quicker & easier than snail mailing!
We ditched cable last month, at long last. Glad we did ! Saving money & have new shows to watch now.
Thanks, Jennifer. Always enjoy your word fumbles ! We all do it . I'm glad you don't edit them out....I think they're cute moments in your videos.

Great video Jen, I check second hand and thrift stores before I go to a regular store to buy what I need. Many times there are brand new items with tags on the items that are for sale. When going out shopping for the day, I often bring along a bottle of water and a sandwich and eat in my car. Mostly this is so that I don't have an excuse to stop in at a fast food place lol.

Hi Jennifer thank you for another good video. I cut the bottom of plastic hand cream tubes so I can get all of the cream used. You can do the same with toothpaste tubes antiseptic cream etc. I've gone back to making our tea in a proper teapot like mum used to do wasting fewer teabags and having nicer tea. You can freeze citrus fruits or just the peel and grate into cake mix for flavour. I love rich creamy natural yoghurt with home cooked apple or pear puree ....

Hiring out, 100%. Not everyone is a DIY person and sometimes it is much more cost effective to hire someone than to make it worse or get in over your head!

Use an old cotton sock with a safety pin in it to prevent static cling in the dryer. (I use 2 old socks with safety pins.)

*New* subscriber! It was the encouragement to disconnect from Social Media and be satisfied with what you have, for me!

What a great video! It pays to check on your bank account frequently. Last year we had fraud on our account when someone used it to make a payment of $10, 000 to a Nissan car dealership!

I totally hear you on the infertility. I had absolutely no problem conceiving the first time, but due to complications during labor and delivery, my doctor told me she would be my only child. I was heartbroken and shed many tears. I did have another child, 4 years later, and knew then that I could have another baby! But the heartbreak and heartache during those years was so painful! Especially when asked when are we having another??? And 6 years after my miracle baby, God granted me a second miracle ♥️.

The worst of this though, was as those 3 girls grew up and were ready to start their families and couldn’t. Seeing my babies go through that agony and heartache was so difficult! My second child adopted a darling girl that we love with our whole beings! For 8 years she struggled with infertility and they opted for adoption rather than to continue and try IVF. Then, miracle of miracles, after 15 years of marriage and at age 43, she became pregnant! Miracles happen, and that baby boy is now 2 months old! But I saw how she suffered every time a family member or friend announced a pregnancy. I see it in my younger daughter, too. And there is absolutely nothing I can do.
