1:00 AM Dive - MDV

Music #9 is finally out after months of hiatus. I just needed the right inspiration to kick in.
I've always loved the sea. Unexplored mysteries the depths hide something from us be it in day-time and especially during hours of darkness would always cross my mind on an almost daily basis. As an amateur free-diver, I never got to explore the ocean at night but in a recent trip where we had to stay in a tent for 4 days beside the beach I got to see night-time fishermen dive into darkness equipped with just a flash light - no oxygen tanks - and catch fish and other creatures they could possibly sell in the market.
The idea of diving at night really hit me hard the moment I saw that. What's it like? I'm pretty sure for the men diving at night it's just a day at the office for them. But I'm sure they're still fully aware of the dangers, the mystique, and the fantastical nature of what they're doing.
If I were to do it in the near future I'd be both crapping my pants and be in awe at the same time and I'd imagine this tune I just made would be a good representation of the darkness, the wonder and the dread (or awe.. depending on you) of the unknown.
