I'm so tired this morning. The hunt for the G-Shock scratch had me rolling. Do you see a scratch? Then slowly slides in a magnifier. It just struck me funny.

im not sure if this is the case here with the gshock or others, but if you return a product on amazon just for the reason that you dont like it, then you have to pay return shipping, but if you claim its broken/not performing adequately then return shipping is free.

As with all things, it depends on the product. There was a time when my collection really "needed" a
Paul Newman" Rolex. Looking in my bank account, and NOT finding 18 million dollars in there, what I "needed" was actually an homage to that watch.

After doing a lot of shopping and reading, Stuhrling won that battle. So there is that. It is really a great watch.

On the other hand (isn't there always another hand?), my collection is 19 watches deep, and that is the ONLY time Stuhrling won one.

So take that, collectively, for what it is.

I owned that exact g shock watch. Its perhaps the best square g shock out there. Rumor has it that its hard to tell time because its negative display, but i can confirm that i have no problem at all looking at it. Considering its plastic, the bracelet is surprisingly well made and comfortable too.

I have two new Swiss quartz watches from their warehouse. Paid less than $50 us each. They are both from a newer 1996 Swiss company called Calibre. On jomashop they listed over $200 us. Never seen anyone review them, but they please me and are two of the favorites in my small collection.

That G Shock is a huge win for you as the bracelet alone can sell for $100. Very few models available with the bracelet and most are JDM models. Congrats.

I did some research on the “Swiss movement“ Stuhrling uses.
It is A Chinese movement, apparently partly assembled in Switzerland.
It’s a big joke, better off buying directly from the Chinese.

The G-Shock for £117 is good value, I recently paid £60 for the combi bracelet alone, which are only available on G-Shocks with negative display, which I'm not a fan of.... stay safe

The G-Shock looks like a GW-B5600. In NL the RRP was €200, I picked mine up from a department store sale for €140 (=£119.50) so you paid about highstreet price.

Have bought quite a few watches from the warehouse over the years, mostly Citizen, G Shock and Timex. Latest was a Citizen Tough Chronograph for $220 ($595 list) and a G Shock AWG-M100 for $84. Good review.

If it moves and it shouldn't, use a cable tie. If it doesn't move and it should, use WD40 ;)

New Timex's come with the black zip-tie. It makes it more likely it's not a customer return.

I guarantee you the person who returned the GShock 5610 had bad eyesight and mistook the “chime” for the alarm as a scratch.My eyes are horrible and I’ve freaked out over that exact thing until I put my glasses on.
