Also a massive money saver. Better to have multiple straps for a watch than buying more watches. Cool One Piece nod 😊cheers.

Me hunting around the floor for an hour trying to find the spring bar that flew out 🤣

Steps too complicated.
Somehow ended up committing war crimes in albania

The hardest part is to avoid scratching the watch case

Pro Tip: If you’ve never done this, some spring bars are easy to get to, some are very hard to get to.
Take your time, be careful, you don’t want to slip and scratch your watch.
Also, a high quality spring bar tool will work WAY better than than a cheap one. A cheap one is $1-$3 or even free with some straps. An “expensive” one is $10 to $20.
A $20 Bergeon is the best (from what I’ve heard after watching 100+ hours on the topic) and I finally bought one and wow… it is a WORLD of difference from the cheap ones that came with straps I’ve bought. Or the one that came with the watch repair kit I bought on Amazon.
I bought a TOP rated watch repair kit on Amazon with 15 different tools and many extra parts/pieces including a spring bar tool for only $18. It was honestly an EXCELLENT purchase, but the spring bar tool wasn’t great.
I didn’t think it made sense to spend $20 on something I already had, especially when $20 for 1 tool was more than I spent on a whole kit with 15 tools, BUT… it was absolutely worth the $20.
Just trust me.
Have fun out there.
Changing straps is the MOST common thing you’ll do and a great spring bar tool makes it 10 times faster and easier.
It can also turn a 3 watch collection into a 30 watch collection.
Get yourself 5+ NATO straps, a black leather strap, a brown leather strap, a metal mesh bracelet, a couple colorful silicone straps, maybe a sailcloth strap, and poof…
3 watches is now 30 watches. Especially if your watches have the same lug width! Then you can mix and match the same straps on different watches.

Another great "how-to." Two things to watch out for: you might want to use that cloth to prevent that spring bar from springing off into the nether regions of the room, leading to Dog-knows how many minutes searching for it. Also a good idea *not* to attempt removal with the watch on its side. (You know the saying - it's all fun and games until someone loses an eye.)

You're a Life Saver my bro ❣️ my most favorite watch's strap just got broken because it's made out of multiple iron wires. After watching your video I went to the market and bought a strap. My old watch is just fire 🔥🔥 now ❤❤
Love you broo 😊

The tool is not always needed, sometimes you can do it with your nail. But you can also do it with a small screwdriver or other like object.

I know this is super basic stuff, but I just bought a Casio Duro this week and it's my first watch aside from a cheap Timex Weekender and I didn't know how to put a new strap on so thanks for the short simple video!
