Really gotta love the diologue from Evie in this scene. It's so grounded and well written.

The things you got to do as a queen and ruler. Like Hades once said when push comes to shove you do what you got to do. To do what is best, what is best for your kingdom to keep your loyal subjects safe. In a way this is like looking at the bigger picture : world domination this is the point where I always wanted Mal to be at. To be at the point where she is sitting on the throne and Bell handing over all of her authority of Queen to Mal. It would mean that Mal succeeded at her mother's expectations. I can't help but laugh seriously I can't help but laugh it's like Mal has turned into the junior version of Mother gothel. Seriously it's like Mal playing the mother role to Evie That just makes me laugh so hard.
It reminds me of tough love and tough love is the name of the song that I heard from somewhere. Did anybody else see that smirk on Mal's face and Evie didn't think nothing of it. This really does highlight Evie as a character That is in fact caught in a naive state of mind. But that In return subconsciously makes Evie a prime target of manipulation. With Mal now doing what she had to do even if Mal herself against it. Mal did what she had to do to keep Even more evil out of Auradon. Despite the evil that got invited into Auradon meaning Mal and her VK friends.

Mal it's definitely thinking like a queen she reminds me of Queen Ravenna from Snow White and the huntsman. Mal also reminds me of Queen Ingrid grimhilda.
As a side note that Evil Queen's today such as the actresses that played the Evil Queen. Every one of them are just inspired from the original Evil Queen. The original Evil Queen inspired these actresses to portray her. Differently in different ways so the real life real evil queen her name was Ingrid grimhilda.

Closing the barrier forever will give Auradon security and peace of mind. So Mal solved problem number one now problem number two. Problem number two is Evie her doe-eyed naive friend Mal thought to herself would I ship her back to the Isle of the Lost? NO! So Mal let her start her four hearts business to earn her keep. So Mal turned her friend into her own personal wardrobe designer. Sometimes Evie would go prancing about and sometimes Evie went crazy crazy. Sometimes Evie even got caught talking to her handheld mirror. Evie is hopelessly naive, And she had to pay the price So Mal sent Evie to her own little building to conduct her business. So that way Evie would be out of sight and out of mind ... Mal could have sent her back to the aisle but Mal is balevolent and kind. Mal's heart is too big for her Mal knew What she had to do After all, Evie being a 29-year-old teen can take advantage of Mal's good nature. Sometimes Mal imagined locking Evie up and figuratively throw away the key. There is always one like Evie on every family tree.
Ungrateful semi hateful a little vile too, The things that Evie put Mal through.
So Mal manages Evie as Mal also breaks Evie's spirit so Evie will obey. Now Evie will do anything that's Mal saids maybe you would call it Cruel. but others would call it love tough love. Evie a 29-year-old teen She is now I know when youngsters like Evie are Young and in their '20s they are wild. that is a bit messy But manipulating Evie is easily more fun a little ...so Mal gives her a bit of guilt, a lot of force and of course Mal had to lie. Mal also reminding Evie That if Evie was without mal That Eive would shrivel up and figuratively die.
Evie only has herself to blame If Mal have been there she still would have done the same. So Mal works Eive hard till Evie falls in line 29-year-olds are sometimes lazy spoiled too. But Mal knew what to do govern Evie's heart into a heart of stone instead of thinking about locking Evie up.
So Evie is all alone maybe you would call this cruel but others would call it love, tough love. Mal was originally on her way to steal the fairy grandmother's wand. But then now had in mind a g greater plan to rule over all of Auradon far and wide. But Mal didn't care to share so princess Audrey had to go. But you know what they say is that a thousand Year nap keeps a princess away. Now the throne is now in Mal's sights.
So Mal is not fooled by the smiles of Sofia Carson or Sarah Jeffery. Give them an inch and those two will run a mile. So Mal's idea of a happy home is one where Mal lives with those two girls all alone in a place. A place where it is dark, depressing and desolate now let's all drink to that. Call Mal wicked Call Mal mean cruel and everything in between.
You would think it's unjust That you would think that it's unjust but this is what Mal calls love, tough love 🖤😈😈
