Why You Need a Happy Planner Hole Punch

A tip about punching photos: for anyone who might not want to hole punch the actual photo, add washi tape to the side of the photo and create a punchable border. IOW, add a strip of washi to the side of photo leaving half of the length of the washi overhanging (it's overhanging the photo). Flip the photo over and add another strip of washi to the back of the photo and overhanging washi. Now you have a strip of washi you can hole punch instead of punching the actual photo! 😁

I have the blue punch. I have punched cardstock (60lb) I do it every week for my journal page I make. It's funny cause it's the only time I feel that it punches clean.

I have punched laminated scrapbooking paper for covers as well (3mil)

This punch doesn't think kindly of
a single sheet of copy paper it leaves those "hanging chads" 😊

Also a side note when punching to add to the mini I line up the bottom of the sheet in between the P & Y (on the blue one) and it gets close to perfect every time. Anyway get the punch it's totally worth it.

To make sure you get the right holes for the mini happy planner I took one of my already made pages and lined it up with the middle (mushroom) punch indicator...then I put down a small piece of contrasting washi tape. Now it is like the line indicator.

A tip from me is to measure a new line under the existing one with a little bit of washi... it is a little bit tricky to see where the middle is sometimes I think.
Now it’s much easier!

Good video! Im using my punch more now, for when Im using the half sheets, but dont want to flip over to see the other side. Just punch the opposite side and voila!

I have one but something that makes me sad is the limitation. This punch doesn't work with laminated papers and it's not useful for create new covers. But for papers and inserts is perfect. Thanks for the video.😘😘
