I just went to the garden to see what I could find for dinner. I brought in 5 okra, 1 jalapeño, 4 radish, radish pods, basil, chives, strawberries, and, wild blackberries. 😍 I love this time of year.

Congratulations on your success!
Thanks for the update on your chickens. I wondered how you were going to solve the problem of the egg eaters.
I’m glad to hear you are enjoying the fruits of your labor!

Hi there Jaylea!
I won’t be able to watch this for awhile as my husband has been working a lot of overtime lately and is behind on his videos so he’s got the remote. Can’t wait to watch it though!

I deal with lots of slugs. I use beer traps. Plus, when it rains, I go out with a headlamp at dusk and hand pick them off my plants.

Hey there I am a new subscriber and I've binge watched so many of your videos for like a week. Can you bring back your cooking from scratch? I loved those videos.

Slugs or like bugs, put a bowl of beer below the plants.

Several of my friends are having trouble with the rabbits eating flower leaves

Your garden is beautiful and all your sharing, is so helpful! I just have a patio garden, but grow a lot! Peppers, tomatoes, peas, zucchini, potatoes, herbs, onions, carrots, lettuce, kale, cucumbers, flowers, and anything I can grow in a pot!

Something got my lily's this year as well. Something also ate a few of my dahlias down to just a stem.

Your garden is beautiful! What fun you’re having! I’ve harvested so much lettuce and basil! It’s more lettuce and then I can eat so I’m pulverizing it with lemon juice then I’ll add it to my pesto. I’m doing the same with my radish and carrots that I’m thinning as well as my radish leaves and carrot tops for the added nutrients.

The sunflowers are beautiful but they are nutrient hogs for your soil, so they may also be sucking what your lilies need out of the ground. I haven’t looked to see if they’re good companions, but last year I noticed our pollinator flowers that were near our sunflowers didn’t do well at all. Maybe something to look into. :)
Your gardens look great!!

I just started using grass as mulch this year. I don't bag it though. After it dries out...which on sunny days happens so fast... I rake it into a pile and use it. But I'm loving it so far

Scarlet Lilly beetle. There not slugs there eggs. Get a soapy water bucket flick the bugs and cut off the poopy eggs put in bucket.

Those aren’t slugs on the leaves those are the red lily beetle larvae with poop on them! So gross. I squish the bugs immediately before they lay their eggs. Pull off the nasty leaves.
