Dom, I know I’ve interacted with you a few times on your channel in the comments, and you even answered my question on how you choose all your varieties in a video. I continue to watch your videos and I just have to say that they are so enjoyable. Why? Because you’re cute, your family is cute, your Homestead is cute, and you are completely unpretentious and just walk-through your garden and explain what you have and how you’re working with it. Even me, I’m an old timer (almost, in my 50’s now), can learn stuff from the younger generation ❤❤❤❤

Paprika is just a bell pepper. The paprika seasoning is made from red bell peppers plus various pepper blends. That’s where the spicy paprika, and sweet (not spicy) paprika comes in.

Giant Marigolds can be pruned (full stems)and staked so the light can still get in. As the season gets warmer they get taller and wider…..and crazy heavy

Hi Dom, the garden is looking great! I planted Cracker Jack Marigolds last year and they grew about 3 feet tall and also were shading my peppers and tomatoes! This year I get the petite yellow marigolds! They are staying about 6 inches tall! We are a couple weeks ahead of schedule this year but nowhere near where you are! I am still harvesting peas I planted in March! Our garlic is just about ready and the potatoes are still about 2 weeks away from being harvested! I have started to look at dates for planting the fall garden with brassicas and root vegetables! I am encouraged by your tomatoes! Wow 18 oz is a big tomato and it looks good too! Keep up the good work! Peace and blessings! 💖🤗

I grew pimento 3 years ago... they looked just like small bell peppers in my 10 gallon grow bags.

The garden is looking great!

Cracker Jack Marigolds??? I haven’t heard of them. Where can I purchase the seeds?

Putting mineral oil on the silks can help with the silk tassels.

Idea for using all your peppers: pepper relish.
I’ve made it many times and can it up to put on the shelves. Even if you use jalapenos, it won’t be hot very long as peppers that have been canned tend to lose a lot of their heat. I’m a long time canner and gardener and the first time I canned hot pepper relish, it wasn’t hot after a month and I wondered why and had to research it and it truly is a “thing” that happens. Pepper relish tastes very similar to regular relish and is very yummy.

Say Dom, I totally love everything on the Garden this year. You really went way above and beyond your garden. I don’t have as much space. I have a very small part of my backyard because there is a garage apartment in the back of me, but I focused on one thing this year. I’m really good at focusing on certain things so I did cucumbers. I think I got like 13 cucumber plants of all sorts of pickling Alphabet all kinds and I am getting so many cucumbers a day I’ve been making pickles eating fresh. I just went to my backyard to go look at something and I found another one and I’m like oh my God it was humongous too. I actually planted a nectarine tree and I’m going to focused on tomatoes and I did really well this year I focused on cucumbers next year I’m going to be doing peppers of all kinds, sweet, bell pepper, all kind of peppers, big gems all that because I love peppers. I do freeze mine and being that I cook with the bell pepper every day we cook has a bell pepper and onion and shallots.
You did real good but for me, I will practice and try to get better at doing multiple things. I really just like to focus on one thing that means that I have a small garden now I do have melons already coming out and some cantaloupes and a couple of watermelons, but really I’m better at focusing on one thing With my yard it’s gonna be peppers of all sorts🫑🌶️🫑🌶️

I have actually harvested what I want to preserve ( the heat slowed the tomatoes down, but that's ok) and will give to friends . So I'm just chilling and waiting on more okra and more peppers. What comes in after this is just extra.😅❤ My garden is small so I didn't plant a lot .Just what I eat .I still have peas, swiss Chard, eggplants, and waiting on the tomatillos to ripen .

Dom, what other fruit trees do you have beside the blueberry? Let me know of course there is.💚

Your garden looks so good! Unlike mine that is a complete bust! My green beans never even flowered! I got exactly ONE Yellow Crookneck Squash! It was about 4 inches long, with either a bird peck or lizard bite out of it! I am seriously considering pulling out the squash vines. It is so hot here in Tucson now the plants are struggling, even though they are under shade cloth.

Hey Dom!!! I can’t remember if you did a video earlier this year or not. I was wondering what helps you decide the layout of your beds? Do you consider companions?

Omg pictures in the garden. That sounds refreshing. I know they’re going to be super cute.

Hi Dom, I garden in zone 6 in northeast Indiana. I love the way you and your family go about gardening. I've grown watermelons and cantaloup for two years, question: besides watering and fertilizing do you plant and forget, or do you baby your melons? I get maybe one to three of each and that's probably enough for me and my husband, but I hear and see many gardeners who say you should prune and cut off blooms. Is this step necessary for more melons?
