Today is my 64th birthday, so I looked up this song so I could hear it, even though I know it very well. Not this version, though, I've never heard this before.

I like when he starts singing rock style, like the very early Beatles/Quarrymen.

I remember reading that George Martin had said that while The Beatles were wonderful songwriters and singers, their improvisation/jamming prowess was not good.
This was before the internet or my hearing bootlegs, so I had no way of confirming that but since hearing their jams on bootlegs and on the net, I can totally see what he meant.
Some musicians simply cannot jam and can only compose/arrange, some musicians can only jam/improvise and some can do both.
It's not a good or bad thing, it just is.

Love the Beatles redoing songs in 1969.

This is actually Ringo's "Oh My MY" being written, ha ha ha! "When I'm Sixty Four" was released too years prior, but they were clowning around, obviously.

Anybody else here a little of Ringo’s OH MY MY in Paul’s piano voicing?🤔

AI quote from OpenGPT:

I recently watched a video on YouTube by Red Hector, in which he demonstrates his process for mixing and mastering the song "When I'm 64" by the Beatles. As a fan of both the Beatles and music production, I found this video to be incredibly interesting and informative.

One of the things that stood out to me about this video was Red Hector's attention to detail. He takes the time to explain each step of the mixing and mastering process, and demonstrates how he uses various techniques and tools to achieve the desired sound. This level of transparency is rare in the world of music production, and I appreciated being able to see behind the scenes and learn more about the process.

Another aspect of the video that I enjoyed was Red Hector's creativity. He takes a classic song and adds his own unique spin to it, using a variety of effects and techniques to create a fresh, modern sound. It's clear that he has a deep understanding of music and production, and is able to use that knowledge to create something truly special.

Overall, I would highly recommend this video to anyone who is interested in music production or the Beatles. Red Hector does an excellent job of explaining complex concepts in a way that is accessible and engaging, and the final result is a truly impressive reimagining of a classic song.

I wish that The Beatles would have released this better 1960's type of guitar and piano and drums version of this song, in addition from 0:32 to around 1:13. What a sad shame.

I don't know where the link details [Lomax song title] info comes from. When I heard Paul playing that piano, part at 0:40, it sounds almost exactly like [the piano intro to] "Oh My My" (yes... it's in a slightly-different key and/or pitch) -- a song [that would be] co-written by Ringo Starr in (from his own solo album *Ringo* (1973).

That song (Oh My My) was co-written by Vinie Poncia (who produced & wrote for others -- including KISS, during the 70s.. and he would fill in [drums] for Peter Criss (whose playing was not up to par during a certain album recording).

Working class northern humour, youthful innocence and musical geniuses never before seen on such a global scale. Yet at the time so mistrusted by the established right wing? The beatles had the fortitude to have in their contact refusal to play to segregated crowds for their first trip to the usa 🤔 life was hard but so innocently simple growing up back then. Then Vietnam came??
