Me! I married my childhood sweetheart. We met when I was 14. We had many happy years together. We’d laugh & tell each other we’d sing this song when we’re 64. Today is my loving hubby’s birthday. He died suddenly 13 years ago. He would of been 64 today. I dedicate this to you my dearest Anthony in Heaven! Love you 😘

Paul McCartney wrote the music for this when he was about 15, and used to play it when The Beatles were still known as The Quarrymen. He put lyrics to it later in honor of his father's 64th birthday.
This was the first song recorded for Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band.
This was a favorite of The Beatles at their early club shows, where they were required to play for hours. When their amps overheated, they would sing this around the piano.

If I make it to 64 years old I’m gonna play this song nonstop all day on my birthday which will be October 28th 2056. A total of 480 times When I’m 64 will be played if I play it 24 hours straight lol. I can only hope and pray I make it.

I have just turned 64. Long been a fan of The Beatles, with the exception of a time, when some fundamentalist pastor put fear of God in me so I was afraid that rock music was a sin. Sept 22, 2018 I call my Beatles birthday because that is when I have turned 64. I am still working, but will need to retire, soon.
