I had a thing called the Eye O' Archibald which a green hag coven kept as a pet and it always responded to taps on the preservant case by flinching and looking around and it can telepathically communicate if you touch the jar. It belonged to a brave but foolish Cleric Of Bahamut who tried to slay the hags but got put in soup.

The wands of the marionette actually sound like a pretty cool item for something like a necromancer or a vampire pc

That last item is exactly how wrathful smite works from my hexblade.
(Though it's a strip of fabric that animates like a snake before borrowing inside someone not like a bug)

Really sick items for a dark fantasy, I love the wands, but if used should a wisdom save be required? I would think it would be very strong without a saving throw.

So, what if the dagger is used as a reskin of the sword of wounding. The sword would land a hit, and small chips of the blade will come off and turn into bugs in the wound and dig deeper in causing the extra d4 of damage.
