The Watcher - Episode 4 - Fear Itself, Holiday Gifts, Graphic Debate Doctor Doom vs. Magneto

In episode four of Marvel's The Watcher, host Grace Randolph covers the press conference for Fear Itself--the big event for summer 2011! She's also got some Christmas gifts for you and the results of last week's Graphic Debate which asked who is the more dangerous villain: Deadpool, Magneto, Carnage, Doctor Doom or M.O.D.O.K.?! @DavidLeeT I've been reading comics every week for years, and I also write for comics - Marvel, DC, Archaia, Boom Studios, Blizzard Entertainment - not to mention the scripts for The Watcher! So yes, I do read comics and was a huge fan before getting into the industry, and am STILL a huge fan. But I'm glad to hear that regardless of my fan status, you still think the show kicks ass! :)

It's funny...I feel like Grace is more natural on Beyond the Trailer. Why is that funny? Because she's actually a writer for comics. This show also just doesn't have a cohesive "flow" or visual style that I'd expect from a show about comics. I don't know if Grace does all the transitions and editing herself, but I think it would be a good idea to invest in getting a graphic designer or video specialist to create some good ones for her...kinda like what IGN uses.

I disagree (sorta). Most people jump on the Deadpool "bandwagon" cause he's awesome. And yeah, he's insignificant to the "Grand scheme of things" but as a character he's complex and entertaining, especially in his earlier comics (not saying the latter ones are lacking in any way).

Though really I don't see what "significance" has to do with anything we're talking about. We're talking about the strength of one character over another.

Yeah, Deadpool isn't a villain. He actually tries to be a good guy a lot of the time. Still, even if he were considered a villain, no matter how awesome he may be, he's not the most powerful of the choices. He's pretty formidable, don't get me wrong, but I think Carnage, Magneto, and Dr. Doom could all take him on. However, Deadpool is also very unpredictable. It's hard to say for certain.

magneto is not really a villain. he's just a believer that mutants are more superior than humans cause of his past. hes not really a bad guy, just a has a bad way of showing his hate for humans. and dr. doom is just a leader who hates anyone who looks down on him. both wont kill people for the sake of their beliefs. its carnage whos the REAL villain as he'l attack anybody. he has no agenda just hate

Comic book store ownwers are mean, all my favorite characters have changed, died, come back to life way too many times, comics are expensive, no more Alexa.

I am afraid that I have finally come to the end of my desire for comics. I want to remember my favorite characters as they were not as they are. Goodbye Marvel, DC, and others.

I don't think they've whore'd Deadpool enough until I see him on a Saturday morning cartoon. At that point, I'd rejoice. lol

But I agree. Deadpool should not have beaten Magneto on this poll. People who voted for Deadpool either don't really know much about him, or are going on what they saw in the Wolverine movie.
