To command that level of power and yet to still refuse to exalt oneself to godhood even in an indirect sense. Amazing strength of character.

Christine had a really shitty day. Dies, comes back only to be terrified by a monster, then watches the world end as two cosmic level super beings talk about things she can't even begin to understand.

Then cuts to black.

Everyone saying Uatu is kinda a dick, but like Strange shows how meddling with events can only lead to bigger consqunces. This moment is pretty much shows why Watcher can't interfere... except whenever writer needs him so he can in that moment (this is directed in other media involving Watcher btw).

The Watcher will only intervene if the threat becomes multiversal. As was the case with Marvel Zombies who threatened far more than their timelines. This Strange’s actions only destroyed 1.
That isn’t to say he didn’t care. This moment and the one before showed he contemplated intervention. But he knew he couldn’t, shouldn’t. Events must play out as they will.

Uatu’s response to Strange calling him a god is interesting. Strange has asserted a god can undo what he’s caused. Uatu’s response is that neither of them are gods so therefore, neither of them can fix this.

To me, this whole scene sorta has a mild metaphor. That arrogant and selfish people who go to far with their actions can cause more harm than good, even if they believe what they are doing is right for them. And even when their own world comes crumbling down, metaphorically speaking, it is far too late to be forgiven and it’s beyond repair if the damage they do is too great. Even asking for a force beyond human comprehension or simply praying is not enough as it still won’t change anything, not cause God or a god is so stubborn to help, but even if they wanted to change this, what good would it do? If they help one arrogant person fix their whole mistake, what does that teach that arrogant person? That things fix itself if you ask a higher power to fix it for you? And does fixing one individual’s own problems and mistakes do any good when so many other people much more deserving than others wish for the same thing?
It’s a deep philosophical proposal but not a lot of people seem to get that.
