I'm now in my 18th year taking Finasteride and I don't think I've lost any retention throughout this entire time. I only very recently changed from Propecia to the generic Finasteride (massive saving) and have been monitoring for changes. I can't say there has been any. After watching Russell and Vikram, I was astonished to learn I could have been taking a lower dosage this entire time. I'm now very slowly going to reduce my dosage over the next few months and monitor carefully. Thanks for all your videos.

Been watching a lot of your videos and called my GP about taking finaesteride but was sad to hear he wasn’t really enthusiastic about me using it, when I pushed about side effects he said he’s seen it and it’s usually sexual. That’s just my experience so far I suppose I should see a specialist too. Your videos are tremendously helpful thanks 🙏

Can you please talk about GYNO and finasteride? a lot of people talk about developing GYNO after using finasteride. How can someone prevent that?

The question implied by the title of the video begins to be addressed at 1:14.

The rest of the stuff earlier is an intro-card and some mind numbingly banal introduction/greeting/filler

I've been on Finasteride for a couple of years. I did stop taking it for a while though, which was not good for my hair, but I did. I went back on Finasteride. I guess the problem was that I wasn't on Minoxidil. So I got back on topical minoxidil. Later now, about two months, I have been on oral minoxidil. I tried microderming and did it for about a month and stopped when I went on oral Min. Now it seems the hair in the prone area of my scalp is miniaturizing. Also, I had a testosterone spike. It may be because I've been on the KETO diet for two months. I am eating a whole lot of beef, less bacon, less eggs. I eat steak and beef patties for the most part. I also found I can eat baby spinach and that might be the ingredient that affected my Testosterone levels. I am on injectable T and my doctor advised me to hold off on further injections. We will have to test my blood again in a month or so.

I started taking Finerstride 1mg 3 times a week, been on it for a month, it did the trick, thickened my hair like crazy and hair shedding just flat out stopped. No issues with my Libido, if anything I am now more sexually active however I have one big problem: I am getting dark circles around my eyes and it is making me look older, so I am now stopping Finasteride, I will have to make it and get by with a 'hair system', if/when the time comes and I go bald. Good luck to all the guys on this journey, hope you do not get any side effects.

You’ve made me comfortable enough to start taking 3mg a week so I wanted to say THANK YOU. 5 weeks in and no major side effects so far, just a slight change in sperm consistency.

I am worried about the hair shedding though, how long should I be shedding? Its been 5 weeks and I am starting to see shedding but I’m unsure when to start noticing that it’s a problem. If I am shedding for a prolonged time, should I up my dose?

If you are considering it, just try it. Stop wasting time people, it’s not worth losing your hair. What have you got to lose? Your hair? It’s going anyway so why not intervene.

Thank you for the infromation! i have one question remaining. Youre saying that the dose doesn't matter because at a certain point u will reach peak levels either way. Im already on 0.5MG of finasteride for about more than 2 years. it seems my baldness progression has stopped. however would there be any point for me to up the dose to 1MG after already being on it for such al long time? would it benefit my hairloss and would it effect any sides? or do you think its not gone make a difference at all?

Should I take 1mg alternate days or cut 1 mg pill in half and take 0.5 everyday?

Dear Vikram, could you share some of your medical literature references? Particularly interested in finasteride pharmacokinetics (tissue t1/2, etc.)

Question! You mentioned the efficacy of finasteride going down as the years go by, my question is would you then recommend switching over to dutastride?

Looking forward to your response,

Thank you!

Hello Doctor, Thanks for your awesome content everytime. what do you think about Alfatradiol? I've been mixing Minoxidil with Alfatradiol along with Dutasteride. Still shedding 40-50 hairs every day. Will mixing Minoxidil and Alfatradiol together make Minoxidil less effective? Or should I use them separately? I've previously been on Finasteride for 2 years.

What is a better dosage? 0.5 every day or 1mg every other day?

I'm gonna try 0.5 mg three times a week because any other dose gives me pretty bad brain fog.
