This worked out! Deleting the drivers of the USB in the computer management. Now my headset of USB C works again.

Dell XPS 8910 running Windows 10.

Random USB ports would fail and my keyboard would not work (mouse did). I could swap to another port and usually get it working.

Got tired of it and the problem kept getting worse. Bought a two pack of the same model keyboard (having one spare, just in case). DP/N 0FYCM1 Model KB216d

New one worked a few months and started having the same problem. I could swap ports until it was recognized. Sometimes trying all ports.
I thought the keyboard may have gone bad, so I tried the third one.

KB #3 worked a few days before doing the same exact thing. Device manager would show an unrecognized device. Removed it, updated bios, drivers, firmware, Windows updates, etc.

No change.

Eventually swapped for a Logitech wireless KB and have not seen this issue once (has been about a month so far).

just have similar issue with this, i have USB thumbdrive 3.0 not detect by Latitude 7280, but for usb 2.0 and keyboard mouse is working fine, and i test with USB Type C docking the usb 3.0 is working fine too, usb 3.0 is only not working as usb port in laptop, aready try reinstal the system, update BIOS but still no hope

Great video, informative. But I would be most happy if it worked. You don't have to hide your PC system, click and update it.
