Upgrading a 2023 Ford 7.3L Godzilla for an EASY 600+HP - Engine Power S11, E12

Engine Power has finally got their hands on a 2023 Ford 7.3L Godzilla engine to play with and we make several easy upgrades to turn it into a perfect pump gas swap engine! After getting it running and baselining the engine, we’ll perform a camshaft, valve spring, and intake swap to help these 445 cubic inches breathe. We also changed out some of the stock bulky accessories and oiling system for a more engine swap friendly setup before putting Ford’s new, large displacement, gas powerplant on the dyno to see what it can make!

I’ve got a 7.3 Godzilla in my 24’ F350 Tremor. Drove a deleted 14’ 6.7 Powerstroke F250 for 10 years. The Godzilla isn’t a diesel but it tows everything I need just fine. On flat ground towing 10K pounds it’ll hold 10th gear at 70. Pretty impressive performance. No issues maintaining 65-70 towing 10K through the Appalachian mountains. It’s a very solid gas engine, I have no regrets switching from a diesel to this engine. For my 25% towing miles a year it’s perfect.

OBR Control Systems has a ecu (with map/tune) and engine harness for the 23' Godzilla. And some amazing plug wires!

I'm MOPAR or no car to my bones but I'm digging what FORD is doing here. I don't like hemis unless you're actually racing so going back to a pushrod wedge big block is about freaking time!

As a Ford guy and a former owner of a 93 7.3 diesel I am really glad Ford made this engine and did it right. Love the way it sounds!

That new oil pump will help with the lifter failures in this engine!! I might wanna go with the 7.3 instead of the HO 6.7!!!

Let’s just take a minute to appreciate how good modern engines are these days. Stock this thing made over 500 has how many big blocks from the 60s/70s/80s could do that .

I have a 22 Godzilla F250 . It does everything I need it to do. I will probly add some stainless headers in the future. However as it tows I don't use above 4000 RPM, Great video though. I could see a 7.3 in an older mustang or similar using that higher RPM power/torque.

THAT'S A LOT OF MONEY SPENT ON FANCY AD ONS TO GET ANOTHER 100 ISH HORSE POWER, THE ONLY THING I SAW THAT I REALLY LIKED ABOUT THE BUILD WAS A BETTER OIL PUMPING OPTION. GOOD JOB GUYS

Dude… this is awesome. 600hp of all engine, big displacement, push rod V8 is just **chefs kiss** perfect.

This needs to go into something big. I’m thinking either a full size race truck or make a sleeper out of an old Lincoln Continental. How cool would that be???
