A lot of people probably didn't notice it but the switch in drogons eyes from a constricted pupil to a dilated pupil was epic, that shows a change in emotion from anger/anxiety or attack mode to a calm, relaxed mode, a round of applause for the animators for that one.

Let's all remember to give a round of applause to the animators for that beautiful takeoff drogon did. It literally showed all the power he has in that one jump and flap of a wing

Jon Snow didn't even flinch. He stayed his ground. Drogon sensed him to be another dragon.

Drogon sensing Targaryen blood in Jon was the most epic beautiful scene for me. Jon who'd been fighting countless Dead soldiers for years, gets startled by Drogon taunting him. But the sheer audacity for Jon to go ahead and pet Drogon was insane. Drogon instantly recognizes the bloodline. And Jon at that moment realizes that the living, no matter how monstrous the beasts may be, is still gorgeous in its essence. And the fact the directors chose to hide this scene from Daenerys was brutal, it could've made Danny realize that there was yet another Targaryen and that she wasn't alone. I still can't get my head around the fact that Daenerys never realized that he was a Targaryen the many times he rode on her dragons.

Jon spends so much of the series taking on responsibilities for other people that it's nice to see moments like this where he just indulges in a boyhood fascination with seeing and touching a dragon.

Such a powerful and beautiful this scene is! I don't know why, but I always rewatch this scene from time to time. It has such a peaceful feeling in it. The way Drogon approaches Jon in the beginning, then Jon pats him and right after Jon's touch and smell, Drogon realises he is the prince who was promised, he has targaryen blood. His eyeballs changed from fierce to normal, his expression changed, he squeeked like a pet doggy. All these give me chlills.
