Don’t enter the runway!

What happens when airspace activates when you're taxying to the runway? Wick Tower in Scotland opens when we're about to depart, here's what we did.

Being on the system is great in IMC especially, but i feel like that controller could have saved himself and our friend some time but starting his shift 20 seconds later 😅

well this is standard in the US. many private or small fields are "uncontrolled" meaning all you are doing is announcing your intentions.
