I am so very glad that the style remained pretty much the same. I'm not a trucker, but I have always LOVED the 359, 379, and 389's. Absolutely gorgeous trucks. I like the one piece windshield design. It'll definitely provide better visibility.

Very happy to see Peterbilt keep the legendary lines. We would have all been tearing up!

I love it, however I wish just Peterbilt and Kenworth kept the analogue gauge clusters.

Absolutely beautiful truck! I think when I have the funds, I'm gonna get one. And once I get the Automatic Restriction removed I'm definitely gonna get it with a manual transmission. (I just started trucking a week and half ago, and absolutely loving it so far.)

I will sue Peterbilt Motors Company, if they don’t continue building the 389 for the years to come. For those who think the 379 and the 389 is a legacy that should never die.
We the people !!!!

The style is still classic and beautiful, but she needs An old 3406, purring, and not a paccar motor.

Please go back to the analog gauges. The fleet trucks with different drivers every day constantly changing displays will cause the displays to stop working properly.
Also the controls on the steering wheel get in the way for those of us who's hands wander around on the wheel to alleviate boredom on long drives. Also when backing/maneuvering around, the drivers hands have a tendency to brush/touch the wheel controls, causing the settings to change. How annoying it is when you are concentrating on backing up into tight spaces when all of a sudden the radio channel changes because the drivers hands hit the control button's.

Nice updated model. But, for a truck that will have an 80" sleeper, most likely will be over $200K. However, the headlights are cheap. Turn signal looks to have a bulb. Why not LED lights standard inside and out. If the new 579 can have great headlights options, why not the 589?

It may well have the 131" BBC but I can easily see the hood is shorter than a 379/389... I guess it remains at 131" BBC because the Cab takes up alot of space that normally would go to the hood...

You replaced a solid throwback reward truck that had a very distinct look with a corporate fat cab truck with accents to make it look as much like it as you could. Digital gages? Babysitter Wingman? I've driven a 2022 KW with these features and hated them. I was working toward a 389 in my future. I guess I'll be looking for a good used one now. Not a fan of this new Peterbilt iteration.

Horrible truck! Wtf as the old saying, if it ain't broke, don't fix it. Lose the dash put the 379/389 dash back in and the traditional gauge package. Lose the automatic and put the clutch petal back on the floor where is supposed to be.

Love it, great they keep the legendary look, shame they don’t put any cat engines in it anymore …

Do not get the automatic braking! That dam system gets a hiccup or a fart. It'll lock up them dam brakes. On a clear sunny day. With nothing in front of u even. It could put u thru the windshield. If ur not wearing ur seat belt. And shift ur load as well.
