MacBook Pro Late 2013 - A Much Needed Upgrade

Unboxing and taking a look at my "new" top of the line 2013 15 Inch Retina MacBook Pro, which was a much needed upgrade over my 2010 MacBook Unibody with a Core 2 duo, Nvidia GeForce 320M, 12GB ram and 240GB SSD.

I like these older macbook pros, I have a 2012 13inch macbook pro, I still use it often. I bought it used and here it is 2020 and my old 2012 mbp still works wonderfully.

The late 2013 is the best MacBook pro ever (can't be more happy I did get it back then, and it's working just perfectly). All newer models after that one are pieces of crap! (usb-c only, butterfly keyboard, touchbar, soldered HD, and now in 2018, i9 throttle between other issues). Amazing how they charge double up the price of late 2013.

Nice to see how the late 2013 performance boost from a 2010 machine.. If only the latest 2018 could achieve such a step up from a 5 year old model.. but it doesn't!

I have the late 2013 MacBook Pro 15". Actually using it right now to write this comment. I still have the original box, and all original accessories. I just can't find a reason to upgrade as this thing is still awesome for my Xcode development and 1080p video editing.

The dual core Intel Core Duo unibody Macs are sensibly intended for every day tasks and watching movies.They struggle doing anything serious. If you want a video editing and capable gaming machine, the only answer is the 15 quad Intel core i7 MacBook Pro. Upgrading here is totally worth it, if you can find one with maxxed out specs. Having both gives one the perfect Apple ecosystem.
