Great video….definitely agree with the kvd Lews reel—-grabbed one at a good price and was going to use it as a back up…it’s a go to!

I’d say my favorite reel is a tie between my Lews tournament pro, and my Shimano curado M. I mainly use the tournament pro for pig n jiggin. It’s such a workhorse, . Especially when you need to rip them large mouths out of some muck. The curado is mainly my chatterbait reel. If I need to cast far, cover lots of water, or even short accurate pitches to a certain area. Try out the curado m, highly recommend.

I had a Lews in the late 80s was the best reel I ever owned. The frame broke on it after 20 years. Do you like the Lews better than googan?

I have a mixture of Shimano Cruados, Lewss Tourament speed pro A, the lews Mach 2 and the lews Custom Pro speed with the sponge grips. I like them all but the one I love is the Lews Custom Pro speed. It is amazing. It cast like a dream...has great power and easy to adjust and is super comfortable in your hand!

This is my first full season using a bait caster, started with a low end Obalus carbonlite that I was gifted and I quickly outgrew that. I did some research and found what I liked and I ended up going with a JDM Daiwa Tatula SV TW103 with 6.3 gear. The obalus was an 8.1.1, thats what steered me towards the 6.3 and I enjoy the fight differently with the 6.3 ratio as opposed to the 8.1. Smallmouth are my all time favorite to catch. I felt like I was ripping fish out of the water sometimes with 8.3 😂 especially with some adrenaline lol. The Daiwa has been great so far, Iv caught quite a few 24in+ pike, lots of good smallmouth and largemouth, a few drums. I’m super happy with it, Iv got it paired up to a 6’8” Lews Mach 2, medium moderate fast pole. I’m also super happy with how well the pole has performed. Much love man, the whole family and I enjoy watching your videos. My 9 year old son always says “dad we gotta go to that St.clair place, there’s lots of fish there” 😂 keep up the great work

Hey Dylan! Thanks for sharing your reels. I started with a Piscifun Torrent to learn how to use a baitcaster. I didn't want to spend a ton if I wasn't able to figure it out. I upgraded to a Lews Smash baitcaster and it was okay but then I got a Shimano Curado DC and fell in love with it. I have a few of them now with 8.5:1 ratio because you can always slow it down. I like being able to get them in faster for sure! I do want to try the Googan black and gold series once it comes out. I'm also going to try one of their spinning reels. I have an old Shimano Sedona spinning reel now but I have a different spinning rod without a reel and that just seems wrong LOL. I have different Googan rods but moving forward I want all Black series, those are so light and feel so incredible. Glad to hear your recovery is going well!! Take it easy! Fish on! 🎣🔥
