As a fisherman prefer to have drag because it tires the fish so they are easier to handle with out them flopping around

Got one of these a couple of weeks ago. I use it for punching in central Florida. The day after I got it went fishing. Caught a 4.5 and 7lber in the thick vegetation. Winched them out. 2 days ago got two 3s and 4. Happy with it so far 👍🏻

As a fisherman I love feeling/hearing the fish take drag

It just create more tension and if your spool doesn't slip once you get past your line's test it will break. Kind of like a rope pulling something, the line thins and stretches, and when the spool slips, it creates less tension.
