Kurt Caz is not a fan of communism, which is understandable, nobody should be. But apparently, showing the reality of a country that is squashed by a tyrannical government isn't ok with some people online.

My parents born in Czechoslovakia say the same and it wasn't as bad as Cuba. Communist dictatorship unlike capitalist democracy cannot evolve due to harsh market and rights restrictions. Communists just exploited the workers they created cheap labour they were selling the best products to the capitalists on the free market anyways.

I was offered a trip to Cuba for work a few years ago. Knowing what others had said, I rejected it. On that same trip, the 5* hotel all the various people from companies were at didn't have electricity for 2 days straight and lost it periodically as well. They ran out of a lot of food items and couldn't get large enough vehicles to transport everyone around to see sights and other hotels. I was very happy as I got a trip to Sri Lanka instead later that year!! And just to let you know, I work in the travel trade and these trips are called familiarisation trips ie. To familiarise yourself with a new destination, new product etc.
