Respiratory Rate: For the first three months of life, the respiratory rate is normally between 35 and 55 breathes per minute. This rate gradually decreases to 12 to 18 breathes per minute in children greater than 12 years of age. For data based on recent studies, follow the link below:

Heart Rate: The heart rate in babies is also high relative to the heart rate in adults. It is initially about 100 to 150 beats per minute. By 12 years of age, the heart rate lowers to about 55 to 85 beats per minute. For data based on recent studies, follow the link below:

Blood Pressure: The blood pressure, in contrast, starts off lower than in adults then slowly rises.

Hi, im 11 years old and i just took my heart rate on my ipad by putting my finger at my camera and i tried to be as calm as i can but i still thought about it a bit and my heart rate was 98 bpm i dont know if im okay because i got chest pain 2 months ago when i was 10 and left arm pain and shortness of breath but they found nothing with an ecg, blood work and a chest x ray. And i still have these.
