Yes I have deffinatly been thinking if my husbonds laser would work. I am glad it does - now I just need to get my bodyshaped dressform done....

This is so helpful! I just hemmed a dress the old fashioned way and it took forever to get it right! Would love to try the laser!

Any chance you could do a video on how to make a corset and its measurements?

Question! Do you know if the tripod is included with the laser or did you purchase it separately?

How would you use this on a jumpsuit or baggy pants? Seems it would be more difficult since the fabric isn't smooth.

Never hem based on a symmetric dress form--your body likely has one hip higher than the other & more curves, so a good hem on the dress form may be crooked when you wear it! Also let the skirt/dress hang for a while to relax before hemming (especially bias cut)--and of course, launder it before you sew & hem as you plan to do the finished garment to avoid disastrous shrinkage...

My problem is the big booty problem, so they tend to be asymmetrical hi/lo front to back. I actually prefer that asymmetric leeway because when you sit down, bend over, etc you still have a few extra inches of room/ease for modesty/personal security, coverage.
